The other day Kevin McNeal submitted an article on my new website [link] talking about Exposure Fusion in Photomatix. I found a similar workflow using Lightroom 2 and the LR/Enfuse plug in.

So I headed out and decided to capture some new images to give it a test run and this shot above was the result. A three image exposure of +1, 0 and -1 run through Lightroom and then finished off in Photoshop using luminosity masks and some other techniques.

While shooting these images I was trying to hold down a conversation with Landscape photo pioneer Ken Duncan. Who is a local to the area. It was also good to see Ken wearing the same high quality footwear for grip on the rocks.... thongs.

For those who are interested, the full production workflow can be seen as a video tutorial on my website [link]

Nice light you have there. Curious about enfuse. I have it though didnt have good luck with movement on the one try I did. Thoughts w/ moving images like this?

Not too sure what you mean with moving images. Are you talking about with the water and the different images blending in with it causing ghosting ?? I haven't had a problem with that yet !! It is just another weapon in the arsenal. That's works when it works and I guess there will be times when it dosen't that you find another way to make the image come together.

beautiful - I can almost feel the spray from the waves :D

fyi about $10 from Big W little slip on waterproof 'shoes' made out of stuff like wet suits with rippled soles ... nicer for feet than bare feet and safer (can you feel the naughty boy look this mummy is giving you both)
